Lone Working in the United States

Employee Locations – California’s heat-related illness regulations

According to Section 3395 of Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations, it’s required that employees have a way to stay in regular communication with their employers.

A Means of Regular Communication

If you’re working outside in fields like agriculture, construction, landscaping, oil and gas extraction, or transportation and delivery of agricultural products, California Cal/OSHA requires employers to have “regular communication” with any sole employee. This could be through means like a radio, cellular phone, or other effective methods of observation. It’s all about making sure there’s a way for the employee and the employer to stay connected. Having an employee safety monitoring system that allows workers to contact employers AND gives their precise location ticks all the boxes.

Employee Safety Monitoring Solution

When it comes to employee safety, monitoring plays a vital role in ensuring their well-being, especially for those who work alone or without direct supervision. In industries where workers are in remote locations or perform hazardous tasks, like working in extreme heat, having a complete monitoring system is crucial. That’s where a system like Ok Alone comes in handy, as it provides an extra layer of protection through real-time communication and location tracking. By implementing a comprehensive employee safety monitoring system, you not only meet your legal and ethical obligations but also demonstrate your commitment to the welfare of your employees. It’s a win-win situation!

Step up your safety game, try Ok Alone, the employee safety monitoring system that keeps you compliant and your workers safe, today. Let’s create a safer and more responsible workplace together!
