Lone Worker Protection for Farmers and Agriculture Workers
Within the agricultural industry, it is not unusual to find farmers working on their own. One way of improving the safety of agricultural workers is to use a lone worker protection system.
Farm and agriculture lone workers require a solution that ensures they have safety monitoring, automated check-ins and a help button in case of emergencies.
During the year 2021-2022 there were 25 agricultural deaths in the U.K. The highest number of farm deaths were vehicle-related, involving; tractors, 4×4’s, telescopic handlers, all-terrain utility vehicles and an articulated lorry.
Five most common causes of farming related fatalities:
- Struck by moving vehicles
- Struck by an object
- Contact with machinery
- Fall from height
- Killed by animals

Peace of Mind
When you have staff working off site or unsupervised this is a great app to help with Health and Safety. You can’t anticipate what may happen during the course of one’s day. This app provides a great option in mitigating a level of risk in combination with other processes and procedures. Nothing is more important than going home safe at the end of the day.

Used the app while working alone during the pandemic installing new lights in our church. Having an app like this while working on 15 ft high scaffolding was very helpful in convincing people that I could do this project alone. Excellent support with all my questions and requests answered immediately.

Highly recommend this service
Been using this for a while now. Only had 1 problem (was my end) but customer service was brilliant at trying to figure out the issue. Highly recommend this service for peace of mind if you are a lone worker.

Ok Alone's Lone Worker Protection for Farmers and Agriculture Workers
Agriculture is considered one of the most dangerous industries in the UK. By introducing a lone worker solution, farmers working in isolation can maintain contact with others, have their safety monitored continuously, and rest assured that assistance is readily available in case of emergencies.
Given the isolated nature of agricultural work, farmers often find themselves working alone in remote locations. The job inherently involves risks, with heavy machinery and large animals posing potential hazards, and the risk of injury is consequently higher than other industries. To mitigate these risks and enhance the safety of agricultural workers, the implementation of a lone worker system, such as Ok Alone, is instrumental.
There are several lone worker solutions available that facilitate regular check-ins, allowing workers to maintain communication. However, not all these solutions are as straightforward and user-friendly as a smartphone app like Ok Alone. The primary objective of a lone worker solution is to ensure the safety of all workers, allowing them to end their day knowing they’re safe and secure.
Lone workers require a safety solution that offers peace of mind – the assurance that if anything were to go wrong, someone would be alerted and help could be dispatched immediately. Lone worker solutions such as Ok Alone are simple, effective systems that connect lone workers with a supervisor responsible for monitoring their well-being. This supervisor could be another worker on-site or a staff member at a call centre.
Implementing Ok Alone can significantly improve the safety and peace of mind of those working in the agricultural industry.
