Privacy Mode is a new feature in OK Alone designed to give organizations peace of mind when it comes to employee privacy. It limits location visibility during normal operations while ensuring accurate coordinates are available in emergencies. This means workers can stay protected without feeling constantly tracked.
How it Works
When Privacy Mode is enabled, OK Alone hides real-time GPS data and historical location information from the monitoring hub during routine shifts. Workers remain visible as “active” with all timers and alerts functioning normally, but their exact position is not shown.
If a safety alert occurs (such as a missed check-in, man down, or duress signal) the system immediately reveals the worker’s latest location so responders can act quickly. Once the alert is resolved, location visibility is removed again.
Privacy Mode can be activated at the organisation level or for individual workers, giving teams flexibility to meet privacy requirements without sacrificing duty of care.
